A good pair of officer's 16 bore (.65") double barrelled percussion holster pistols, by Weatherhead & Co, Derby, 10½" overall, twist barrels 5¾" engraved "Derby" on the top rib, with signed scroll engraved back action locks, walnut fullstocks with rounded chequered butts, rectangular escutcheon with initials, scroll engraved steel trigger guards, and swivel ramrods. GWO & good clean condition, the barrels retaining much original browned finish, the engraving crisp but partly obscured by congealed linseed oil or similar. £1200-1800
