A locomotive nameplate, SOLOMON ISLANDS, from a LMS Jubilee Class 6P 4-6-0 No 5603 built by the North British Locomotive Co, Works No 24161, in 1935, becoming BR 45603. Its BR sheds included Crewe North, Longsight, Camden, Willesden, Rugby and Nuneaton from where it was withdrawn in December 1962 and cut up at Crewe Works. The nameplate cast brass, length 49", mounted on a wooden splasher, complete with an original oil box fitted in the correct position.
