Scottish Covers and Postal History' 1841 (10 Sep) cover Coldstream to Edinburgh franked with Penny Red imperf from plate 11 (so-called "black plate") fine used with black MC just tying it to cover. Stamp has four margins - good at top and left, huge at foot, very narrow at right (and with little scuff at top of this margin). Coldstream datestamp on reverse. Cat.£350 on cover.
