Emergency issue dollar, portrait type struck on a 1784 Mexico City 8 reales and countermarked with the bust of King George III. Type A/2, the reverse of pillar type. These coins circulated at a value of 4s 9d and gave rise to the phrase "two king's heads not worth a crown". Attractively rainbow toned with the host coin aVF or better, the countermark VF.
