A FINE QUALITY OAK SINGLE CHAIR WITH TWIN MASKS, YORKSHIRE, CIRCA 1650-1660. The splayed uprights terminating in scroll finials above cross hatching joined by twin cusp arcaded backs with scrolled interlace centring on a Yorkshire Mask with acorn drop finials above a recessed with moulded rails on ball turned legs that retain the original turned seat caps, joined by a ball turned stretcher with plain stretchers beneath. 106cm high 47.5cm wide 41.5cm deep seat height 45cm Provenance - A & E Jameson, 257 Glossop Road Sheffield. Purchased from Phillip Jameson, mid to late 1960s.
