1898 NILE 'WRECK COVER': Reverse only, of an env. with rare h/s "Wet through collision on the Nile" alongside c.d.s.'s of Halfa (27 Apr. 1896), Alexandria (8 May 1898) & Winchester (16 May 1898). Some days after the Battle of Atbara (8 Apr. 1898) and before the end of that month, an incident occurred on the Nile, though the nature of the incident remains a mystery.
