A small late 17th century pewter wrigglework beaker, Dutch, circa 1690

Decorated with portraits of William III and Mary II, each within an oval, below a band of scrolling foliage, a crowned rose touchmark to underside of base, 16 fl.oz., height 13.7cm

Since Mary is portrayed as Queen and not solely as William’s wife this beaker was probably made in Holland for the English Royal commemorative market, as Mary was never a crowned monarch in Holland
