Mid 19th Century East India Company Cavalry Percussion Rifled Pistol
8 3/4 inch, .577 rifled barrel. Breech with Indian export stamps. 1838 pattern, converted flintlock plate with engraved E.I.C. lion. Heavy set military pattern percussion hammer. Polished, full stock woodwork. Oval, brass butt cap with steel lanyard ring. Brass trigger guard, side plate and end cap. This fixed with flat steel spring to hold the captive ramrod in place.
