An 18th century flintlock pistol, circa 1741: the plain 8 inch barrel with proof marks to breech, the plain side lock action with faint signature, silver trigger guard dated 1741 and decorated with flower and shell finial, white metal mounted ebony ramrod, the stock with applied armorial cartouche and white metal grotesque mask butt cap, 36cm long.
