** 1982 FALKLANDS CONFLICT COVERS: Range of covers from during and immediately following the 1982 Falklands conflict inc. scarce 8 June air mail env from HMS Coventry [HMS Coventry was sunk on 25 May with this being one of the last pieces of mail taken off the ship with London "MARITIME/MAIL" cancel applied 2-weeks after the sinking], scarce June env with fine "SHIPS RADIO/RECORDS REQUETS/HMS Southampton/BFPO SHIPS/LONDON" cachet in red on reverse [Note "S" missing from "REQUESTS" & "p" of Southampton is reversed], Aug OHMS env unstamped with fine boxed "SHIPS OFFICE/10 AUG 1982/R N P 2100" bottom left plus mail from other ship inc. HMS Arrow (also damaged by enemy action), Hecla, Illustrious, Intrepid, QE2 (3) & Yarmouth & S.S. Uganda.
