PHILIP RICKMAN (1891-1982) - 'Bird Paintings and Sketches'. A large part-leather-bound folio containing 18 watercolours and 98 pencil sketches, mostly 1920/30s ornithological and of differing sizes. To include a full-size watercolour of toadstools in a leafy wood, signed and dated 1920 lower right (40cm x 29cm) and a full-size double-page watercolour of a lone raptor signed lower right (55.5cm x 37.5cm). Many signed and dated, some annotated, and some protected with tracing paper. (folio size 42cm x 31.5cm)
