A Chinese cinnabar lacquer libation cup, Qing Dynasty, 18th/19th century Carved with branches of fruit, leaves and flowers, the underside with a large flowerhead, on a later ebonised stand, height 4.5cm, length 11cm, width 8.5cm. Private collection of a Parisian lady (1876-1964), whence by family descent to the present South West Cornwall vendor. This unrestored cup is perfect but for a tiny single chip. See image
