An interesting WWI menu and programme poster for the "Sergeant's Dinner Tuesday 11th Sept 1917", the menu, which is balanced on the nose of a cartoon dog wearing sergeant's stripes and with belt and bayonet, included fillet of sole, roast sirloin of beef and trifle, the programme provided by the band of the Artists Rifles, and with the name "C.S.M. Stanley Newman P.C.B.S" in a box, surrounding margin covered with over 100 signatures of those attending, in its contemporary glazed oak frame with a recent note on the back giving details of a Sgt Stanley Newman from official records.
