A probably unique 11mm French Model 1866 Chassepot bolt action needle fire rifle, 51½” overall, barrel 32½”, with plain walnut fullstock, steel mounts, sling swivels and cleaning rod. GWO & C (metalwork slightly worn with light pitting to the mounts), apparently devoid of any markings and believed to be a pre production prototype. £300-500
