An eyecatching vintage original watercolour on paper painting titled "Portmuck Islandmagee" by the artist Henry Echlin Neill (b.1888-d.1981). Features a sunlit view of the titular bay, the turquoise waves gently rolling up on the soft sand as a fisherman moors his boat at the dock. A cliffy headland topped with a farmstead falls away into the sea on the left. Rendered in sea green tones and a nice use of line delineates each detail. Signed bottom right and titled bottom left. Housed in a smart gilt frame. Echlin Neill has a good auction history with his works regularly fetching in the early to mid hundreds.
MM: 54 x 42 cm in frame.
