A silvered, gilt bronze and ivory model of 'La Liseuse’, depicting a lady reading a book with ivory face and hands, the lady with long flowing robes, standing on a circular base, signed Albert Carrier Belleuse, inscribed to base 'Presented to Miss H.J.Jelks on the occasion of her 21st Birthday June 19th 1928 by the staff of W.
