A VINTAGE PERSIAN TABRIZ CARPET, hand knotted in Maragha, Northwest Iran c.1940. The Eastern Province of Azerbaijan is one of the oldest rug weaving areas in Iran. Material: woven over a six-month period on an upright wooden hand loom, knotted using the Turkish knot, with a knot density of 350,000 knots per square metre, dyed and trimmed in various areas to enhance vintage appearance. Size: 3.42m x 2.51m
