A good and rare inter war example, dated 1927, tailored by Trayler & Co Ltd, Portsmouth. Blue Melton cloth, with scarlet facings to the collar. Collar, cuffs and cuff-slashes edged with gold “Vellum” lace. Good bullion collar-badges with gilt metal Globe within a wreath of gold embroidery. Complete with buttons to front, cuff-slashes and skirts. Major’s large crowns in silver embroidery on substantial twisted gold shoulder-cords. Lining shot but uniform exterior good and clean.
