Victorian 1822 Pattern Officers dress sword, the 32" long blade with etched foliate motif and Royal VR cypher and inscribed W. Forsyth 12 Vere Street Oxford Street London, the shagreen and wire wrapped handle within the pierced hilt also with the Royal VR cypher, with a red leather and brass mount scabbard (scabbard with faults)

the blade with some patina and pitting though nominal, the handle and hilt in fine condition, the scabbard with torn seam - some of which had been historically filled, notable creasing and holes and tear to creases towards the tip end, the brass to the scabbard with dinks and bruising also
