A 1786 PATTERN ROYAL VOLUNTEER'S SWORD. With an 81.5cm pointed blade with full length fuller and single edge, the blade engraved with Royal Cypher, Crown and Military trophies. The gilt guard with leaf-edged langets, the grip with fluted decoration tapering to either end, the gilt 'cigar band' finely engraved with a crown within 'Royal Volunteers St James's'. 96cm overall length. *CR: surface pitting to the blade and engraving obscured, rubbing to guard and other surfaces. *BP 22.5% (18.75% plus VAT) plus a lot fee of £8 inc. VAT on each lot.
