A pair of Elizabeth II 9ct gold and enamel cufflinks, each cufflink with the Royal monogram E II R and with a crown above, awarded to Mr Hart by the Royal Family, presented within original box, weight approx 10g, together with a collection of ephemera related to Mr Hart, including letters, photographs, a menu and newspaper cuttings Notes: Mr Albert George Hart was presented a pair of 9ct gold cufflinks by HRH Queen Elizabeth II in1961 to commemorate his service as Head Conductor on the Royal Train for nearly 20 years. The original cufflinks were taken in a burglary in 1979 and Mr Harts son wrote to HRH Queen Elizabeth II asking if they could be replaced, offering to donate the cost of providing a replacement to a charity of her choosing. A replacement pair were sent alongside a letters from Robert Fellows, a British Courtier who later became the Queens private secretary.
