Sold as an estate sale - Provenance as provided by a family member - Martha Violet Bell, died in May 1986, was a committed Christian who worshiped in Methodist churches wherever she lived. She was truly loved by all the members of the Bransgore church who wanted to develop a handbell ringing team.
Shortly after her death my brother Quentin and I decided to get a set of bells in memory of our mother. We saw a set in Scotland advertised for sale by the Right Honourable Lord Adrian Palmer, 4th Baron Palmer. This struck a chord with us because his family owned Huntley & Palmers biscuit factory in Reading where my mother lived, and we were born & grew up. We bought the bells from Lord Palmer in 1986.
