VICTORIAN CARVED WHITE VEINED MARBLE FIGURE OF A YOUNG GIRL, modelled seated on an oblong cushion, with arms folded, 12 ½” (31.7cm) high, unsigned, raised on a CONTEMPORARY CARVED MARBLE PEDESTAL, with wrythen fluted upper section, fluted lower section and octagonal base, 55” (139.7cm) high, overall C/R- the girl with lower left leg re-glued, crack to her back, runs from the hairline to the base, 9” long approx., the cushion with tear type small but deep splits following the vein lines, does not appear to have been broken or re-glued, the pedestal with the usual minor rim nibble and chips, the whole the yellow hue/ staining probably due to smoke
