Taxidermy: Bengal Tiger Head by Rowland Ward, 1894. A rare and impressive tiger head and neck mount on oak shield. Mounted with jaws agape, to reveal superb mouth detailing and all original genuine teeth (real skull within the mount). Also retaining some original whiskers.
Mounted by famous London taxidermist Rowland Ward.
With unpolished brass plaque to front of shield which reads “NEPAL, FEB. 13TH 1894, LENGTH 8FT 7 1/2 INS”.
Back of classic Ward shaped oak shield with partial paper trade label “The Jungle, Trade Mark, Rowland Ward F.Z.S., 166 Piccadilly, London”.
CITES - Annex A, Appendix I (exempt)
