A LATE VICTORIAN 18CT GOLD OPENFACE KEY WOUND POCKET WATCH WITH WATCH KEY, floral and scroll engraved case, gilt dial with central floral and scroll detail, black Roman numerals and hands, outside minute track, personal engraving to inner plate reading 'Samuel H. Tomes A gift from his Grandmother Eliza Tomes', pocket watch with watch key and red leather pouch, hallmarked 18ct gold London 1881 to 1882, inner case with maker's mark J.W and numbered 15 8 0306, approximate case diameter 41mm, approximate gross weight 53.6 grams (condition report: overall condition good, light tarnish to watch hands, black Roman numerals a little worn, areas of light tarnish to watch face, pocket watch currently functioning, untested for time keeping)
