An Edwardian opal and diamond half-hoop ring, comprising three graduated oval-cut precious opals with spectral play-of-colour, flanking a series of old-cut diamonds in between, to scrolled gallery and shoulders, yellow metal marked '18ct', ring size O½, total weight of item 4.4 grams. Side opals both have chips and fractures, central opal has heavy surface abrasion, approximately 8.9 x 6.0 x 2.6 mm
