Fine scarce rich gilt flaming grenade, the domed ball mounted with crowned strap ROYAL BENGAL FUSILIERS resting in laurel sprays bearing numerous honours; centre with floreated lined 101. Two of four loops. VGC In 1861 the former HEIC regiment 1st European Bengal Fusiliers was transferred to the British Establishment as the 101st (Royal Bengal Fusiliers) becoming the 1st Bn.
