A near pair of George III silver sauceboats, with gadrooned borders, engraved crest and flying scroll handles, on three hoof feet, William Skeen, London, 1763 and maker's mark rubbed, London, 1775, length 17.6cm, 23.3oz.
The earlier boat has minor surface scratches to the interior and exterior in general. Slight wear to the crest and slight rubbing to the hallmarks.
The other has an old repair to the crest area along with some minor dings. There is a small dent to the other side of the boat along with a few small dings. Possible old repair to the top rim. Hallmarks visible but maker's mark rubbed and some fading to the remainder.
