A late 18c eight day longcase clock, the 31cm arched brass dial signed William Pyke of Totnes and having a seconds ring and date aperture and engraving to the dial centre. The arch has a 'tempus fugit' boss with an eagle engraved on it and the dial corners have scroll spandrels. The movement is rack striking on a bell and is contained in an oak and mahogany crossbanded case. The hood has a full arch with sound fret below it and a rectangular caddy above which has three finials. The hood door has plain attached columns and the long trunk door has an arched top and mahogany crossbanded edge. The base has a similar edging and a plain skirting. The clock stands 217cm tall overall.

Movement clean and complete. Dial is in good order. Case has some wear to gilding on hood capitals, otherwise in good order.
