Jiaqing early 19th century Chinese hardwood casket / box. The hand carved Chinese dark wooden casket believed to be dating from the Jiaqing period (1796-1820). Four large figures and a bull on the lid with mountains and pagodas in village scenes, around the sides are four fingered dragons and organic scrollwork, inside is a removeable tray. There are signs of wear, various cracks and a nick in the border of the lid, the base and tray base appear to be later additions but are likely antique themselves, there is a replacement tray corner support. Measures approx. 35cm x 25cm x 15cm.
