Medieval Belt Hanger Set. Circa 15th century AD. Iron, 125 x 56 mm. A complete sword scabbard suspension set, comprising of a central junction frame with a strap roller at one end and a five looped hanger suspended from the central cross bar. On each side of the frame there are two long hook ended clasps. From an Essex collection, found on the Thames foreshore.
