In 1995 Fiat introduced the Barchetta, the Italian word for a small boat, a sports convertible in the finest Italian tradition. In Fiat's own Centro Stile, a classic roadster was conceived which was well designed, and could be offered at an attractive price. Fiat transferred production to Carozzeria Maggiora, who had also previously assembled the Delta Integrale. The Barchetta was the only competitor to the Mazda MX 5, and just as the MX5 did, it won over many admirers in its lifetime.
An exceedingly rare example of a timeless classic, the Riviera was the ultimate limited edition of the Fiat Barchetta, with far and away the best upgrades. It features full red leather interior stitched in a quilted design, this is matched by the door cards and rear pockets, model specific alloys wearing a matching set of premium Firestone tyres, beautiful recent mohair red hood with as new rear window, and the boot mounted high level rear brake light. This car also benefits from a stainless exhaust which not only sounds great but also ensures against corrosion. It comes complete with all hand books and wallet, 2 service books detailing a very pampered car, a recent 23/06/20 timing belt/water pump oil service with a rear wheel bearing (purely as it was advised on the last MOT), 3 keys including the red master key and the factory code card. It drives beautifully as would be expected of a car that has been pampered and cared for to this degree.
