Edward VII Naval Good Shooting Medal with H.M.S "Virago" 1906 6 Pr Q.F. clasp, named to 167409 F.W. Barr A.B. H.M.S. Virago 1905 6 Pdr Q.F. And Royal Fleet Reserve Long Service and Good Conduct Medal named to 167409 (PO B 2179) F.W. Barr A.B. R.F.R. Frederick Wilson Barr was born on the 1st may 1877 in Hastings, Sussex. He enlisted for the Royal Navy on his 18th Birthday for 12 years. He will also have been entitled to a 1914/15 Star and Victory Medal. The Naval Good shooting medal was a short lived award, instituted in 1903 and discontinued in 1914. This is one of only 53 such medals with one clasp, Barr's awards are confirmed to the Medal roll. Mounted for display with copied research.
