QV Army LSGC (small letter reverse) engraved to 1618 Sergt I of M. J. Draycott K.O. Bord extremely fine with buckle mounting bar, scarce rank Sergeant Instructor of Musketry.
With 8 copied pages of service record, James Draycott was born in Tralee, Ireland, enlisted in 25th Foot 4/6/64 aged 18 (number initially 1833), served in India 1867-76, promoted Cpl 3/4/67, Sgt 5/1/69, reduced to ranks for being drunk on parade 25/2/71, promoted Cpl 6/12/72, Sgt 1/8/75, CSgt 1/7/81, Sgt I.M. 11/7/82 and discharged 30/11/88, this LSGC his only entitlement.
