Surgeon Major Charles Egbert Wimond Bensley was born on 19.5.1834; M.R.C.S. 1856; M.D. St.A. 1856; Assistant Surgeon 4.8.1856; Surgeon 4.8.1868. Surgeon Major 1.7.1873. Retired 8.12.1882. Died at North Kensington 5.12.1909. Indian Mutiny Medal was only entitlement.
