A John Patstone cartridge case with key, handle a/f, containing a large assortment of letters between George Sloane-Stanley and his girlfriend (later wife) Hilda Leach. The Sloane-Stanley's were tea planters in Ceylon. Includes letters written during WW1, 3 sketchbooks containing a fascinating assortment of drawings, the 1952 issue of The Stubbingtonian including his obituary, various letters relating to Ceylon and other items. A fascinating little archive.
