Superb early Abelam Drum (Probably Stone Cut), Papua New Guinea. Carved and engraved hardwood and natural pigment. Very old Abelam ancestor drum with zig-zag pattern and eyes all over the top and bottom sections. Probably stone cut and with aged, dark sooty patina. At least 19th.C. Approx L86cm.
