The Georgian Theatre and Irish Theatrical History - a 19th century papier mache circular snuff box, the cover transfer printed with a titled portrait of Master Burke as Doctor O’Toole, 9cm diam, c.1825-30

Master Joseph Burke (1818 - 1902), known as the ‘Irish Roscius’ was a child actor, musician and performer born in Dublin, Ireland. Among many performances, he played Doctor O’Toole in productions of The Heir at Law and the Irish Tutor.
