A CHINESE LONGQUAN CELADON DISH, MING DYNASTY (1368-1644). Rounded body with everted barbed rim covered in a pale celadon glaze with unglazed section to the interior. 25cm diam.
Good overall condition with no major signs of damage or repair. Crazing in glaze to note. Provenance: Property of Dennis Young, son to Sir Mark Aitchison Young GCMG (1886-1974) who served as Governor of Hong Kong between 1941 and 1947, thence by descent.
