λ A mid 18th century ivory fan, with ivory sticks and guards, the guards covered in engraved mother of pearl, the serpentine sticks hand painted with butterflies, a rabbit and insects and inlaid with mother of pearl, the leaf is hand painted with a festivity, a dancing couple, along with a drummer boy, numerous putto, peacocks, swans, sheep etc, the verso with a scene of a shepherd shearing sheep whilst his sweetheart watches on, circa 1745, length 29.5cm
