Extensive Derby Crown Porcelain Imari patterned dinner service, date code for 1884, decorated in an anglicised peony rock pattern in underglaze blue, terracotta and gilt colours, comprising twenty four 26cm dinner plates; twelve 23.5cm plates; ten 26cm soup bowls; two large oval meat plates, 54.5cm and 43.5cm; pair of smaller oval plates, 33.5cm; pair of oval plates, 29cm; two lidded vegetable tureens, 30cm; two lidded oval sauce tureens on stands (58)
The condition overall is very good. There are minimal signs of wear considering the age of this service. There are very fine scratches which can be seen on the gilding in the centre of the plates and very light stacking wear. The dinner plates are exhibiting the worst of the wear (see images), however this is still minimal.
No chips, cracks or restorations have been found.
