An SB 14 bore flintlock sporting gun, c 1785, 54” overall, 2 stage barrel 38¾” with false breech, the breech tang with sighting groove, London proved; flat stepped lock with single line engraved border, signed “Luke” in flowing script; walnut fullstock with brass mounts including oval escutcheon and acorn finial to the trigger guard, and with silver wire scrolls around the breech tang; with replacement wooden ramrod.
