19th century Royal Vienna octagonal wall plate entitled ''Entführung der Helena" (Kidnapping of Helen), the centre having a painted classical scene from Homer's Iliad depicting Paris in Phrygian cap carrying Helen to the harbour, encircled by polychrome and floral gilt border. Beehive mark to reverse, 34cm.
Some loses to the gilt orbs on the sawtooth border. Otherwise very good.
