German Third Reich Kriegsmarine Officer Dagger and knot by Eickhorn, Solingen A fine example, the fullered plated blade etched either side with anchor foliate panels; maker 1935-41 squirrel logo to the the forte. Gilded brass eagle and swastika pommel and fouled anchor ornamented crossguard; wire bound amber celluloid twist grip; complete with locking-catch and release button. Housed in gilt metal lightening bolt scabbard with oakleaf bands retaining two loose rings and complete with gold aluminium wire portepee (knot). Minor service wear, generally VGC.
