Star Lot: Two amazing antique supplement papers titled "Duffy's Irish Catholic Magazine" dating to February & June 1847. A monthly review, devoted to national literature, arts, antiquities, ecclesiastical history, biography of illustrious Irishmen, and military memoirs. This is contemporary to the Irish Famine! The front page of the June edition contains an editors note marking the "sorrowful bereavement which Ireland has sustained" as a result of the death of Daniel O'Connell. There is a further articles on Irish saints, local memoirs and pieces of historical interest. In good condition with all pages intact and legible.
