Original vintage railway travel poster issued by DB Deutsche Bundesbahn - Better to take the Bundesbahn / Fahr lieber mit der Bundesbahn - featuring a bright and colourful design by the poster prize winning artist Marianne von Euw depicting a young lady wearing a pink hat and holding a wine region travel brochure and train ticket in her gloved hand, looking out to the viewer with a train in the background, the slogan and DB logo on the side. Formed in 1949 with the establishment of the Federal Republic of Germany the German Federal Railway provided railway services until 1993 when it merged with the East German railways to form Deutsche Bahn AG.
