A 19th century Black Forest walnut cuckoo clock, chalet style case with fretwork, 4 1/4" dial inset within painted panel depicting a hunter with dog retrieving a fox caught in tray under a large tree with birds, two train movement striking on single coil, total length 50cm, Morath Brothers retail label verso dated 1862.

Condition - winding and ticking briefly but not striking nor cuckooing... the bird missing, hinge not attached on right door, one piece of fret work loose, old split and repair to right bellows, general wear to case including split to veneer on lower door, nibbles/losses to veneer, cuckoo door remains in open position, wear around right winding hole.
