One pair of very large heavyweight curtains in pale gold damask with pencil pleat heading, lined and thermal lined with tassels along one long edge and hem. Recently dry cleaned. Approx size; length 284cm, width 460cm (per curtain) (1 pair)
Due to large size of these curtains it is not possible to examine every inch of fabric so a reasonable amount has been inspected with the following noted; damask fabric is in good clean condition with no obvious fading and no bad odours. Hemlines are clean. The lining is a pale grey colour and is a manmade fibre. There is ink writing in one place on the lining, and a small brown stain noted. The heading tape has a darker grey tinge to its edges. The lining has some grey stripes in the upper section on one curtain (possibly on both curtains but only one was inspected as the other is hung up on display and the top is out of reach). This looks like the effect of damp causing discolouration and has since been subject to dry cleaning. this greying has not affected the main fabric damask. See photos
