the plain hinged top over a frieze carved with scalework and two panels carved with roundels in the Gothic style bearing the date "1667", on guilloche-carved stile supports, 115.5cm wide x 67.5cm high x 52.5cm deep
Provenance: According to family records, this oak coffer was owned by Mrs HE Monro until 1948 and then passed to NAM in 1964.
