An Ancient Egyptian breccia jar, attributed to the Predynastic Naqada II-III period, circa 3500-3100 BC. The vessel of rounded, globular form with pierced cylindrical lug handles, a flared disc rim and circular foot. 2.5 in (6.1 cm) height, 3.5 in (8.8 cm) width. Provenance: Gifted to the vendor by the artist Mosè Tamburrini (1905 - 2001), and passed to Mosè by his late father Nicola Tamburrini, a collector of antiquities.
Condition report: In excellent condition especially taking into account the age of the object with only very minor surface wear and insignificant chips to the edges predominantly to the base area.
